    Responsibilities

    The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing routine and non-routine general accounting functions. A successful candidate must be a team player who possesses a positive attitude and is self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, organized, analytical and resourceful. He/she must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment and exercise independent thought to constantly challenge and improve the status quo. The Accounting Manager must have interpersonal and collaboration skills as he/she will be working closely with accounting and operational teams. Provide oversight of all monthly accounting activities, including cash management, collections, payables and purchasing.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare the Daily Bank Reconciliation
    • Compile and post journal entries for month-end close
    • Complete monthly account reconciliations
    • Oversee the Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable
    • Manage the company’s purchasing cards
    • Lead other special projects as directed by senior leadership team

    Qualifications

    Background Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
    • Solid understanding of US GAAP
    • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience required
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management
    • Experience in transportation/warehousing industry preferred but not required
